It was tenterhooks until the last minute this year for the NZMCA Motorhome show at Mystery Creek. New Zealand had just experienced a wee yo-yo period in COVID alert levels - we were on, then off, then on but postponed and finally...phew! The show got the green light and we were STOKED.

This show is a definite favourite of ours. Why? 

👍   People. Some of our raddest customers are motorhomers/van lifers/road trippers. A truly diverse bunch of humans, but all sharing the same zing for life and all doing life on their terms. We hear towelie adventures from the road, and some of the stories 🤣, well - we'll let you know when the book is instore, mates!

👍   Caravans. And vans. And Motorhomes. EVERYWHERE! If you like a (holiday) home on wheels or have a fascination with tiny living, this is the place to hang out. Your mind will be blown by some seriously clever design tricks that won't fail to impress.

👍  Feedback. Ahhh, hidden in all the chats are precious wee nuggets of gold for us at STOKEDNZ. We hear your experiences, your niggles and your ideas. These conversations spark plans for new product lines and tweaks for our existing ones. What you tell us feeds strategy for STOKEDNZ. We're truly in this biz for our customers.

👍  Licorice. (Also, gin)  Ain't nothin' like a good bag of the licorice (also, gin) to perk you up after a good few hours on the go at show! And luckily enough, we always seem to be close to the licorice lady (also, the gin lady 😁). Spooookkkyy!!!

So. 2020 was another epic year of reconnecting with customers and welcoming new humans into the STOKEDNZ family at the show. Our stand was triple the size it had been the year before and we did some cool, professional type stuff we hadn't done previously like a fancy giveaway and a FB live stream from the show.

Sales were off the charts and we were on the phone to Turkey ordering more wetbags and towelies as a result to keep things ticking over the Christmas/summer period. We're incredibly lucky to work with such talented towelie wizards. They whip up our gear like the gifted, skilled humans they are and never complain when we phone in a flap because we're about to sell out of something and need more!

Packing up on Sunday we had sore feet and weary bodies. But our energised hearts were raring to get back into the office to debrief and get sh*t done for you all.
